"Floome stabit fortis. BINGUS INVICTA."

AncientFloome

The Ancient City of Floome, Urbs Aeterna.

Bingus Empire (Latin: Imperium Bingusnum) was an ancient state, the successor of the Flooman Republic and the ancient Flooman-Bingus civilization, and probably the first ever superpower in the world. The empire was based in Floome, modern-day Flopitaly, and held a massive amount of territory. The empire ranged from the westernmost point of Europe to Bingusbylon in the Middle East. It fought frequent wars with the ancient states in the Floppersia regions, including the Flopthian Empire and the Sogganid Empire, most of which resulted in nothing changing. It also fought constant skirmishes and clashes with Flopman "barbarian" states and tribes in Flopmania, modern-day Flopmany. It was eventually split into two: the Flyzantine Empire and the Western Bingus Empire.

Famous people from this nation were Augustus Bingus, Caesar Bingus, Jefferius Crips, and the distinguished Bingus centurion Biggus Floppus.

History[]

Bingus Conquest of Flopitaly[]

During the Era of Alexander the Great, Emperor of Flapedonia, many binguses migrated from the Floptic Steppe and Soggastanian Steppe to Europe following Alexander's conquest of Floppersia. These nomadic binguses became one tribe and invaded Europe, starting from Flacia, modern-day Floppania. They also invaded Floppannonia, Soggicum, Sogdalmatia, and southern Flopmania. In 300 BF, the binguses invaded Flopitaly and occupied Floome, Urbs Aeterna.

The bingus tribe conquered Flacia quickly, defeating local warlords and subjugated villages. They then invaded Floppannonia, modern-day Flopgary, pardoning its inhabitants since they were the same nomadic tribes. Sogdalmatia, which is modern-day Croatia, was next, with the tribe invading and sacking villages across the Sogdalmatian Coast. Soggicum and southern and Flopmania was invaded along with northern Flopitaly.

Flooman Republic[]

Then, the binguses established the Flooman Republic, ruled by nomadic binguses who had become native to the region. Due to the nature and customs of the bingus culture, floppas and soggas were still accepted, regarding them as the same beings. This situation also opened a way for other species to overthrow the government later on.

Flopitalian Wars[]

From 300 to 200 BF, neighbouring states often invaded the Flooman Republic, like Flopenice, Floples, and Soggenoa. At first, the Floomans couldn't repel the invasion, but after inventing their revolutionary military tactics and organization, the Flooman Republic defended itself from its enemies. In around 250 BF, the Flooman Republic annexed Floples and Soggenoa, and a decade later, it almost controlled all of Flopitaly.

First Floppunic War[]

In 260 BF, the First Floppunic War happened between the Flooman Republic and Flopthage, an ancient civilization in modern-day Flopinisa. The war lasted for a century, resulting in Flooman victory. Floome gained Flopsica, Sogdinia, Sogcily, and Malta.

Flooman-Bingidonian War[]

By 200 BF, the Flooman Republic became increasingly involved in Freek affairs and engaged in a series of wars with the Bingidon Empire, the last unified Freek state since the fall of the Flapedonian Empire. Bingidon's defeat at the Battle of Flopga in 168 BF signalled the end of Antibingid power in Freece. In 146 BF, Flapedonia was annexed as a province by Floome, while Freece became a protectorate. Since then, the Flooman Republic adopted Freek culture as its primary culture, even though the language was still Latin.

Bingus Empire[]

In 27 BF, under Augustus Bingus, the Flooman Republic was reformed into the Bingus Empire. Augustus Bingus became the first Bingus Emperor and conquered Flopitaly. Augustus Bingus also formed the Bingus Senate, even though the nation was technically an absolute monarchy.

Second Floppunic War[]

In around 25 BF, Augustus Bingus declared war on the Flopthaginian Empire, starting the 2nd Floppunic War. Bingus Imperial Navy quickly overran Flopthaginian Navy, and Bingus forces landed on Flopthage soon after. Flopthage was one of the largest cities in Africa, and Flopthaginians had prepared for the defence of the city. Bingus soldiers sieged the city and had difficulties, even though they were more prominent in numbers and superior in technology.

The Flopthaginian Emperor Floppibal Barca was one of the greatest generals in history and was regarded as a massive threat to the Flooman Republic back in the First Floppunic War. However, the reformed Bingus Empire had become stronger, leading to huge losses towards the Flopthaginian side. Floppibal also took part in defending Flopthage until its fall three years later. Floppibal killed himself before he was captured by his rival, Floppio Africanus, the General of the Bingus Imperial Army and later Grand Consul of Floome.

Bingus Persecution of Floppists - The Great Expansion[]

Somewhere in 20 BF, the descendant of Teacher Gaeae split from the CCFF, establishing the Gaeaean Floppist Church. Father Floppocus III, the Father of the Church, declared the GFC as heretics and commanded his followers to wage a cleansing of heresy war by outlawing their practices and hunting them down. This event started the Floppism Civil War, a decades-long war that resulted in the GFC church escaping north to the Zabloing and Caucasus regions and the persecution of Floppists by the Bingus Empire under the command of Emperor Claudius Bingus.

When Octavianus Bingus heard of the bloodshed happening in the Flopant, he sent troops to secure the area, which several warlords at the time controlled. He saw the war as an opportunity to conquer the strategic lands of Flopkey and Sogyria. After the war ended, the Bingus Empire had consolidated power over the region under the leadership of Claudius Bingus, the new emperor. Since devout Floppists couldn't stop killing each other, Claudius ordered the massacre of Floppists, claiming that they were "troublemakers", "wild animals", and "chaos makers". Most of the CCFF escaped to the Floppersian regions, where they were accepted.

Since then, the Bingus Empire expanded its territory by conquering the empty lands of Iberia, Flopcia, and the Falkans. North Africa was tough to subdue since the Bingbing tribes were fierce in repelling invaders of their homeland. However, the Bingus Empire quickly took over Flobya and Cyrenaica.
